There are mixed views about the last book in the series, with some feeling that it doesn't go far enough to introduce new features. However, we disagree. In addition to covering seasons 5–7, and with the benefit of hindsight from coming at the end of the programme, this book offers some foreshadowing insights not possible in the first 2 books without the context of the final seasons.

There are also other new features such as "lost" lines of dialogue and stage directions, and also a great section relating to the Trio. If you enjoyed the first 2 books, whether you are a die-hard fan or just looking for some fun casual reading, this will definitely serve you well.

Verdict

For those wanting to complete the Watcher's Guide set, this should again be considered an essential edition to your Buffy collection.

Pros

  • Additional feature formats not in the first 2 guides

Cons

  • Photo quality could sometimes be better
